Yogi Vemana University is a newly based University in Kadapa district with West Campus at Idupulapaya. Earlier, it was a part of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. It was advanced as Yogi Vemana University by the authorities of Andhra Pradesh by an Act of A.P. Legislative assemblage on 9th March 2006. It is located at Ganganapalli village and Panchayat about 15 KM from the Kadapa city on the Kadapa-Pulivendla road. The campus is spread over 450 acres of land. Presently, this university is in Kadapa town.
