West Bengal Board of Primary Education Recruitment
The Board has already told the various dominion primary school administrative units to be made for this recruitment drive. More than 450 government assisted main schools in the state have shut down on the last 3 years because of shortage of teachers. In the city itself, 3 schools closed during the last 2 months. The Board is hence authorized not only to monitor, operate and take teacher training but also to develop teacher-instructors. The syllabus of the 1-year course is awaited to be boned up and renewed soon. The Bengal Primary Teachers’ Association, demanding filling of vacancies in primary schools, has set up a report on the closure of these 3 schools and sent it to the state school education department.
