Axis Bank was formed as UTI when it was integrated in 1994 when Government of India allowed private business in the banking field. Establish with a capital of Rs. 115 crore- with UTI contributing Rs. 100 crore, LIC leading Rs. 7.5 crore and GIC and its 4 assistants contributing Rs. 1.5 crores, the bank came in procedure with its 1st registered office at Ahmedabad. Axis Bank its clients with all forms of services that should be rendered by a modern Bank. It conducts with personalized as well as commercial banking. It has one of the most bombastic distribution ATM network in the nation. The bank also required to have a new name from its pan-Indian as well as international business position. So from July 30, 2007 onwards the UTI bank was called as Axis Bank.
Axis Bank India is the first bank to begin operations as new private banks in 1994 after the Government of India allowed new private banks to be established.
