Uranium Corporation of India Limited was contained on 4th October 1967. UCIL is at the perspective of the Nuclear Power cycle. The Uranium Corporation of India Ltd (UCIL) has accepted up a uranium mining project in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. At its first public discovering of the project in Kadapa, The plant proposed to be set up by the Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL), under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), will have a capacity of 3,000 tonnes per day and be ready in 36 months.
The Union Minister in the PMO, Mr Prithviraj Chavan and other officials will participate in the meeting, according to an official release from the CMO today. UCIL was able to pull a huge crowd and government support. UCIL plays a very significant role in India’s nuclear power generation programme. Uranium Corporation of India Limited is a Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy.
