The University of Mumbai is one of the most previous and prime Universities in India. It was founded in 1857. It was at one time called University of Bombay. University of Mumbai is one of the leading Universities in India. All around the city, there are associated colleges which are supplying education par excellence. It has various Faculties of diverse subjects like Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Technology. It offers courses in various professional courses, including engineering and business management. The University presently acquiring its own radio frequency to air a radio channel called MUST (Mumbai University Students Transmission). The channel will be accessible from 5-7 km radius of the University initially for about two hours before becoming upgraded for larger time slots.
