University Department of Chemical Technology college was established in 1934 by the name of University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT) but was later exchanged in 2002 to Mumbai University of Chemical Technology (MUICT). The institute has been encouraged with the FICCI award in the field of research in Science and Technology for the pioneering work in engineering and technology for the year 2000-2001.It is various courses admission is based on entranced exam like CAT RMCAT etc.
