Agartala Government Medical College is settled in the campus of G B Pant Hospital in Agartala, Tripura. Launched in 2004 with the name of ‘Govinda Ballabh Pant Hospital’, the college has developed as one of the high institutions for higher education in the north-eastern part of the country. Related to Tripura University, the college is appreciated by the Medical Council of India and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. Currently, Agartala Govt. Medical College extends undergraduate course in medical science – MBBS. The college has the capacity to enroll as many as 100 students to the course, every academic year. With an direct to maintain high standards of education, the college has state-of-the-art infrastructure, with modern facilities admitting well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture theaters, computer facilities, and intercom facilities, Cafeteria, analysis facilities etc.
