Types of TOEFL

Content and Format of the TOEFL test: – The test has 4 divisions: Listening, Structure, Reading and Writing. The number of questions and the time allocated to each question may vary. Hence, 1 student may get thirty-five questions in Listening part while another may get 45. But, the additional questions are for research purposes only and the marks of all test takers are based on the same number of questions.
Registration
The first step in the registration procedure is to get a copy of the TOEFL Information form. This application form may be got by downloading it or ordering it from the TOEFL website. From the application, it is possible to fix when and where the IBT version of the TOEFL test will be given. Procedures for completing the registration form and presenting it are listed in the TOEFL Information Bulletin. These processes must be followed exactly.
TOEFL schedule
Computer based TOEFL test is held throughout-the-year. Unlike other exams, you may select your own date and time for taking the TOEFL test. The test is administrated in the above cities 5-days-a-week (Monday through Friday), 2 times in a day. September to December is the peak season for TOEFL test, so in case you intention to take the test during this period of time, you have to register very early to get a date of your choice. Otherwise, registering at least 3 days in advance is mandatory. The test lasts about 4 hours.
