Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation Ltd., (TNMSC) was found with the main aim of assuring ready availability of all necessity drugs and medicines in the Govt Medical Institutions across the State by adopting an efficient process for their procurement, storage and distribution. It was integrated under the Companies Act, 1956 on 1/7/1994 and has started its occasions of purchase, storage and distribution of drugs and medicines from January 1995. TNMSC intention is to make the drugs and materials available to the poorest of the poor and “Service to the Public “. TNMSC adopts rigorous Quality Standards in the supply of Drugs and Medicines being issued to common Public by diverse Government Hospitals. The Tamilnadu Medical Services Corporation Limited is engaged in the procurement, storage and supply of 268 drugs and medicines, 84 suture items and 63 surgical items to the several Government Hospitals, Primary Health Centers and by them to the Health Sub centers throughout Tamilnadu.
