Introduction
The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is an independent Institute under the defense of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India. This institute does basic research in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and computer science. They have campuses in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore and research facilities in different different places in India. They have masters and doctoral programs in its areas of work.
