The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a pre-entry examination which is used to evaluate the foundation academic knowledge and skills of people for admission to the Practical Nursing Certificate or the Associate Degree Nursing programs at NRCC. Individuals will not be tested on any particular field of nursing knowledge or skills. The TEAS comprises of a sum of one hundred twenty-five questions on 3 mental test fields: science, English, and reading. All subtests comprise multiple choice items with one right answer. Marks in each field require to be forty-five % or higher to be competitive for the RN program.
