TELK, Transfromers and Electricals Kerala Limited was founded in 1963 under an condition with Government of Kerala, Kerala state Industrial Development Corporation and M/s. Hitachi Limited, Japan to establish a full decorated section for designing and manufacturing Extra High Voltage Electrical instrumentations in India. Since 23rd June 2009, Telk is a Joint Venture Company of Govt of Kerala and NTPC Ltd.
