Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology is located in Meerut and is on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. The University was founded on 2nd October 2000 under Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act 1958 publish and notified vide on 12August2000. Apart from Agriculture and Technology The University also provides courses in Electronics and Telecommunications, Biotechnology, Management and Computer science. The University aims are insured prosperity of farmers and rural community by diversification, step-up and linkage of agriculture to the market. The procession of villages is the advancement of the nation. Its aim is to create human resources who can apply their acquired knowledge and skills to variety and industrialize agriculture for socio-economic transformation of the rural society.
