Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics became fully functional on 11th January 1950, and was inaugurated by Madame Irene Joliot-Curie, the Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry in 1935. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of lately acquired books Records of the entire Library. The Library uses Libsys software package which is an incorporated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library
