Candidates with Post graduate degree in Physics/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Physiology/Zoology or any other branch of life sciences (excluding plant sciences) with 70% marks, M.Tech in Polymer Technology/Material Science/Biomedical Engineering /Instrumentation or Post graduate degree in Public Health, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary Sciences, Statistics and Social Sciences with at least 60% marks can apply.
Method of selection
The selection of research scholars will be based on the performance in written test and interview.

Application forms and Prospectus can be obtained through a written request accompanied by a Demand Draft for prescribed fees drawn in favour of the Director, SCTIMST, and Trivandrum payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The request should also contain the course name and the details of the DD. Application forms are NON-TRANSFERABLE

I am from Nepal, had completed my Master degree in Public Health from Allahabad Agriculture Institute and Deemed University, UP, India and Mater degree in Health Education from Tribhuvan University Kathmandu, Nepal. Now I am involving in Pokhara University as Public Health Lecturer it is Government University. The Pokhara University has Bachelor Programme in Public Health, B. Sc. Nursing, B. Pharmacy and B. Sc. MLT. University is facing the problem of advance research level human resource. So the university is encouraging me for further study so it will provide study leave for Ph D in public health.
