Sarada College Salem
Introduction
Sri Sarada College for Women, Salem was commenced in the year 1961 as an associated college of the University of Madras by Mrs. Seethalakshmi Ramaswamy under the benignant grace and position of Srimath Swami Chidbhavananda of Sri Ramakrishna Tapovanam, Tirupparaithurai. Since 1-1-1998, Sri Sarada College is associated to the Periyar University, Salem, Tamilnadu, India. It is a Government aided college and appreciated for obtaining grants from University Grants Commission (U.G.C.) under sections 2f / 12 B. It receives not only yearly grants for the functioning of liberty but also special plan grants.
