Railway Recruitment Board Kolkata recruited the candidates in 2010 for following posts, in 2011 the SSC may open the vacancies for the same posts, and the related details are given below:-

Traffic Assistant
Assistant Loco Pilot
Qualification for Traffic Assistant
Degree from recognized university or equivalent or Diploma in Rail Transport & Management, Transport Economics, Multimodal Transport (Containerization) awarded by Institute of Rail Transport, Rail Bhawan, New Delhi additional qualification will be desirable.
Qualification for Assistant Station Master
Bachelor degree (10+2+3) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates). Those completing final examination of bachelor’s degree by June 2011 can also apply for provisional admission.
Academic Qualification for Assistant Loco Pilot
Matriculation OR its equivalent under 10 + 2 system and Course Completed Act Apprentice OR I.T.I. in any of the following specific trades recognised by SCVT/ NCVT OR Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics /Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE in lieu of I.T.I.
Online registration:
Candidates have the alternative to fill their application online. For this, He/she must visit the website and fill up their detailed Bio-data in the application format & information sheet given in the website. At present the service of on line registration of applications is available at RRB Chennai, Mumbai, Ranchi, Secunderabad and Thiruvananthapuram only.
How to Apply:
Application in the dictated format must be send to the Member Secretary of the concerned RRB where candidate wish to apply on or before mid of March 2011. Applicants may also apply online at respective RRB websites. The information is available on the websites of all the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The list of all RRB with their website.
