Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, the maiden step of Ramakrishna Mission in the field of higher education .based in 1941 as an Intermediate College, Vidyamandira was upgraded to the Degree level in 1961 and Post Graduation courses were brought in in 2006. It is now an independent college under the University of Calcutta. , has travelled for nearly seven decades with an ever-luminous academic record. In fact, the very name and the idea of such an institution were envisioned by Swami Vivekananda who considered education as the panacea to all social evils.
