Punjab Engineering College was earlier known as East Punjab Engineering College. It was also the time when the institute shifted to Chandigarh from Punjab. This institute offered technical & computer application based program. It is provide the placement with advanced knowledge development & skills for their students. The first courses that were taught in this engineering college were mechanical engg and civil engg. But with time different other courses were added to the profile of this institute
