Port Health Organisation, Chennai was launched in 1946 with an objective of keeping entry of Yellow Fever and other infectious/Quarantinable illnesses from abroad. This Organisation is beneath Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health& Family Welfare, Government of India. Port of Health, Visakhapatnam is also appearing after the port of condition Minor in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. There is also a proposition to move the fishery to demonstrate Rishikinda Harbor Bhimili and change the current port to shipping berths. The surviving airport to handle export import cargo and passenger airline that gives it an international status.
