Panjab University was launched in 1882, at Lahore (now in Pakistan). Panjab University is a residential cum associating university in the city of Chandigarh. The administrative office of Panjab university was situated at Solan and the teaching departments operated from Delhi , Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar and Amritsar. Panjab University directs a wide range of courses in a variety of disciplines. It is amongst the most esteemed and oldest universities in India. It has more than 150 affiliated colleges/institutes spread over Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.

Eligibility:
A candidate should have a Master’s Degree with minimum 60% marks from any recognized University.
Selection process
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in PhD Entrance Examination and an interview to be held at Panjab University.
