Paddy Processing Research Centre Thanjavur
Introduction
The Paddy Processing Research Centre (PPRC) came into possibility in the year 1972. Now this institute is called the Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT) and arrives under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Initially it was commenced as an R&D laboratory at Tiruvarur in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu in the year 1968. After it was translated to PPRC it was under the handle of the Tamil Nadu Civil provides Corporation. Now it has become IICPT and is under the control of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries from the year 1988. The institute’s main attempt is in the area of post harvest technology for processing food grains.
