West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (also known as WBNJUS or NJUS) is settled in Kolkata, the City of Joy. It was launched under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) assumed by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. NUJS was advised under Clause (f) of Section 2 of the UGC Act, 1956 in August 2004, and has been conceded permanent affiliation by the Bar Council of India, in July 2005. The institute was establish to impart experience based learning under multi-disciplinary curriculum congratulated with clinical method of teaching. The campus of the institute is spread over a land area of five acres, well weaponed with all the modern facilities.
