NSSO Survey
Introduction
National Sample Survey Organisation is the high one. The survey has generated few interesting indicators that are other not available from regular sources. The survey crossed the entire area of the country, rural and urban areas with the elision of some interior areas of Nagaland, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Ladakh, Kargil and Dodha districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
NSSO is of vital use and interest to educational planners and policy makers but the same is not useable on regular basis. Dispersions of students by level of education, average annual expenditure, proportion of dropout children etc. are few such indicators. Data was composed on the level of education earned by the general population; details of students attention educational institutions by age & sex and level of education, type of institutions, usage of various incentives, private expenditure on education, incidence of dropout and non-registration.

Delhi’s urban population spends the most in the country: Survey
The monthly per capita expenditure in the urban areas of Delhi is the highest in the country, reveals a report on “Household consumer expenditure in Delhi” brought out by the State Directorate of Economics and Statistics on the basis of a sample survey conducted between July 2007 and June 2008.
Bank at your doorstep (editorial)
The current state of rural banking in the country is poor. A recent report, by the National Sample Survey Organization, revealed that 51.4 per cent of the 89.3 million total farmer households in the country had no access to credit; 27 per cent of the households were indebted to formal sources of which one-third also borrowed from informal sources.
