Netaji Subhas Open University, also experienced as NSOU, was established with a goal to offer distance learning in easterly part of India. Central offices of the university are located in wood-burning Park Kolkata. NSOU has been discerned by University Grants mission and it is a member of the affiliation of Indian Universities. It has been awarded with excellence in Distance Learning award from democracy of discovering for uninteresting excellence in 2010
