National Institute of Technology, Durgapur will take an admission procedure in 2011for admission to its Engineering, Management and Applied Science. programme. NIT- Durgapur is an extremely reputed engineering institute which was founded in 1960 and since then has been an initiating institute in the area of technical education. Few years back it began MBA programme which has also met with great success. NIT-Durgapur is a sovereign institute fully funded by Government of India. The National Institute of Technology Durgapur contains a number of departments, coving almost all fields of science, technology, engineering and management.

Eligibility Criteria MBA program:-
Bachelor degree (10+2+3) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates). Those completing final examination of bachelor’s degree by June 2011 can also apply for provisional admission.

Eligibility for MCA program:-
Applicants must have pass with minimum aggregate of 60% in the under mentioned “Bachelor’s Degree” of any university or equivalent or must have mathematics as a subject or in 10+2 examination.

Eligibility Criteria for M.E. program:-
A candidate must have passed B.E./ Bsc./ B.Tech with atleast 50% in PCM for general category students. SC/ST candidates need to have atleast 45% aggregate in PCM.

Eligibility Criteria for BE/ B.Tech Exam:
A candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with English in class 12th with an aggregate of atleast 50% in PCM for general category students. SC/ST candidates need to have atleast 45% aggregate in PCM.

Eligibility for Science program:-

How to Apply
The Interested candidate may apply online and sent some along with passport size photograph stuck on the right corner of the application form and attested copies all essential certificates and a DD in favour of the National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur), West Bengal Formerly Regional Engineering College

Important Dates (Tentative):
Availability of application forms: January 3rd week, 2011
Last date of submitting completed application forms: April 3rd week, 2011
Display of shortlisted candidates for GD/PI: April 4th week, 2011
Group Discussion/Personal Interview: May 2nd week, 2011

Selection process:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the base of their CAT/MAT/XAT marks. The shortlisted candidates will be called for further selection procedure dwelling of a Personal Interview & Group Discussion after which the final selections are made.

    I had appeared for MAT examination held in the month of February 2010 and scored a percentile of 90.4. Will it make me eligible for this years admission process or should i need to appear for this years MAT exams which is going to be held in the month of December?
