National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR) was Brought about or set up or accepted; especially long established in 30 September 2002 with the merger of National Institute of Science Communication (NISCOM) and Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre (INSDOC). Applications are invited for admission to the 2011 batch of the Associateship in Information Science (AIS) course
Course
This institute provides the Associateship in Information Science (AIS) Degree.
Eligibility:
Applicant should have minimum of 50% of aggregate marks in Master’s degree; or Four-year plus degree like B.E./M.B.B.S. or Bachelor’s degree plus B Lib.Sc. Plus one year of relevant experience after B.Lib.se.
Test Centre: New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore
How to Apply:
The prospectus and the application form can be obtained from ‘Head, Education & Training Division (ETD), NISCAIR, S.V. Marg, New Delhi-110067′ from May onwards personally or by sending a self-addressed envelope (25cm x 20cm size) affixing postage stamps and enclosing a DD for prescribed fees drawn in favour of NISCAIR, payable at New Delhi.

Admission Procedure
A national level competitive exam generally happens in June the notifications publish in the Employment News in February; this test followed by interview is the criteria of selection.
