NID 2011 Exam National Institute of Design Admissions
National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, takes the National Entrance Examination for Design. NEED is coordinated for admission into the diverse undergraduate levels of programs in designs, provided in following associate group of institutes – National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, D. J. Academy of Design, Coimbatore, IILM School of Design, Gurgaon, Wigan & Leigh College, New Delhi and Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi. National Institute of Design will conduct entrance exams in 2011 for following programmes, details are given below:-

Eligibility
A candidate must have passed in 12th in any stream to be eligible to get admission by NEED. A candidate should not be more than 20 years as on 1st week of June, 2011 for general candidates. An SC/ST candidate should not be more than 23 years of age. The candidates who are appearing in their final exams for 12th can also apply for provisional admission.
Application Form
NEED 2011 Application forms along with the course catalogue for the ensuing academic year will be made available on request from the second week of October 2011 on cash payment by a Demand Draft of any nationalized bank drawn in favour of the ‘National Institute of Design’ payable at Ahmedabad.
How to apply
After filling the application form, applicant can submit application along with all essential enclosures and Fee through DD to admission office of institute before the last date of Receipt application form.
Examination Pattern
NEED exam contains of objective types multiple choices questions. It contain of questions linked to the area of design engaging general mental ability, worldview, and sensitivity to environment, creativity, drawing and communication skills.
