The Newton International Fellowship an elaborate and systematic plan of action will select the very best early stage post-doctoral researchers from all over the world, and offer support for two years at UK research institutions. The Newton International Fellowships scheme is run by The British Academy, The Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society. Applications are invited for Fellowships starting in January 2011 and further information is available at its official website
Academic Level:
Applicants must have completed PhD/be in final stage so that it completes before start of fellowship. Applicants must not have held more than one or two postdoctoral positions.
How to apply
Applications for all Newton International Fellowships should be made online through the Royal Society’s Electronic Grant Application and Processing (e-GAP2) system.
Application Selection Criteria 2011:
Academic research background of the Applicant Quality of the proposed research project
Track record of the UK Sponsor/host organization in the area of proposed research
Additional benefits for the UK Sponsor/host system.
