National Institute of Technology Trichy is one of the 17 National Institutes of Technology founded by the Govt. of India. National Institute of Technology Trichy was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Govt. of India and the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in 1964 with consider to catering to the demands of man-power in technology for the nation. National Institutes of Technology Trichy honors B.Tech, MTech and PhD degrees to UG, graduate and PG students respectively. The Institute, with 115 faculty, 1350 students, 300 administrative and affirming staff, is a self-contained campus.
