Introduction
National Institute of Technology Srinagar, founded by the Government of India as a territorial Engineering College, is one of the top sciences, technology and engineering colleges in India. The H.N.B Grahwal University has now been upgraded as a central University w.e.f 15th January 09 by Central Universities Act, 2009. National Institute of Technology Srinagar offers B Tech, MTech, M Phil and PhD programmes in several fields of engineering. REC Srinagar was one of the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges instituted during the first Five Year Plan.
