National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur was Brought about or set up or accepted; especially long established in 1962, as a Government College of Engineering and Technology. It was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The institute offers 2 undergraduate (B.Tech. and B.Arch.) and 2 post graduate programmes M.Tech and M.C.A. in 11 engineering fields and architecture.

Eligibility
There is no uniformity in the eligibility criteria for programmes offered by NIT through its entrance examination like GATE/AIEEE. Different programme have different eligibility conditions. So candidates are advised to go through properly the eligibility condition required for the courses to which they are seeking admission.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
B Tech / BE / UG / Undergraduate
Admission to the BE/BTech courses are granted to the eligible candidates on the basis of AIEEE scores. The admission procedure is conducted through by Central Counseling Board (CCB) constituted by Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD. Reservation of Seats is as per Govt. of India rules.
Entrance Test: AIEEE Exam
Post Graduate:
M Tech / ME / PG / Postgraduate: Admissions into the ME/MTech courses are done on the basis of performance in GATE.
MCA: For admissions into MCA course NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is conducted is conducted every year.
