National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped founded in the year 1984 at Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad (AP) is a sovereign Body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India and therefore the institute is fast impending for its silver jubilee to celebrate its committed services to persons with mental retardation in the national interest.
