Lalit Narayan Mithila University or LNMU Darbhanga is an instructing and associating University. Mithila University was founded by a regulation in 1972. It has been accredited by University Grant Commission (UGC) in 1986 on account of its achievement in rendering education and training. Lalit Narayan Mithila Vishvidyalaya provides Under Graduate (3 years)/ Post Graduate (2 years), Certificate, Diploma Course, P.G. Diploma / Ph.D. and Vocational courses. Mithila University Darbhanga has a central library with books on diversity of subjects along with journals on several disciplines that take care of the needs of the students. More than four hundred staff of internal and external repute belonging to different areas is pursued in teaching and experiment activities.
