MHT CET MCA 2011 Maharashtra Common Entrance Test
Maharashtra – Master of Computer Application – Common Entrance Test 2011 (MAH MCA CET) will be taken by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra for admission to Master of Computer Applications course in Government, University supervised and unassisted Institutes of Maharashtra. Students from throughout India may apply for MAH-CET. Outside Maharashtra students may take admission by AIMCET merit. The Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai is the coordinating body for MHT-CET. Common Entrance Test (CET) will be handled for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate professional programs available under management quota seats in the colleges and university departments in Maharashtra. On the base of score in Common Entrance Test, Maharashtra, candidates are provided admission in following courses.

Eligibility criteria
Candidate must have passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any field accredited by the Association of Indian Universities and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.
Availability of Application forms:
The application kits for MAH CET are expected to be available by February in the post offices throughout Maharashtra and also from Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Delhi. After purchasing the application kit candidates have to apply online at www.dte.org.in/mca.
Examination pattern:
The Entrance test will be divided into 2 parts of 1 hour each. First Paper will be General Aptitude and second will Computer Awareness. General Aptitude Paper will comprise of Questions from the following: logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, high school mathematics, vocabulary, English comprehension and verbal ability. There will also be negative marking of 1/4th marks.
