Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) was set up in 1990, as per the Act 31 of 1990 by the Government of TamilNadu, as a Teaching-cum-affiliating University. The University has been identified after the Tamil poet literate/Prof. P. Sundaram Pillai (1855-1897) the famous writer of late 19th century, who is the writer of famous verse drama MANONMANIAM. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is the newest of all Universities in India. It is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university provides several courses in the area of aquaculture, fishing and agriculture in its Alwarkurichi campus. The Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) is inviting application for its new academic session 2011-2012 for MBA, MCA, ME degree, other related details are given below:-
Eligibility Criteria MBA program:-
Bachelor degree (10+2+3) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates). Those completing final examination of bachelor’s degree by June 2011 can also apply for provisional admission.
Eligibility for MCA program:-
Applicants must have pass with minimum aggregate of 60% in the under mentioned “Bachelor’s Degree” of any university or equivalent or must have mathematics as a subject or in 10+2 examination.
Eligibility Criteria for M.E. program:-
A candidate must have passed B.E./ Bsc./ B.Tech with atleast 50% in PCM for general category students. SC/ST candidates need to have atleast 45% aggregate in PCM.
How to apply:
The application form for admission in Manonmaniam Sundaranar University can be got by cash payment from admission office of The Institute by cash payment and by Sending DD. The candidate may also download application form through the official website of the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. After filling the application form along with all expected enclosures and Fee through DD to admission office of institute submit it on the below given address before the last date of Receipt application form.
Reservation
Reservation for the courses in Government College of Engineering (GCE), Salem will be as per the rules of government of India.
Selection Procedure
Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test and/or Group Discussions, Interview being on the number of applications received for each post.
Written Test
Written Test will comprise (i) Objective Test on Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness and English & (ii) Descriptive Test.
Final Selection: Candidate who will pass in both the exam written test as well as group discussion. Interview will be taken for final selection. Selection would be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
