The Mahatma Gandhi University (Gandhiji University), with B+ certification of National Assessment and Accreditation Council, was founded on 2nd October 1983. The University has a spreading main Campus in Athirampuzha, a village 13 Kms. off Kottayam town. It is the 5th University in the southern most State of Kerala, India. The University is furnished by the University Grants Commission and Government of Kerala. It is a component of the AIU and the ACU. Association of Commonwealth Universities represents above 480 universities from Commonwealth nations. The University offers Courses in graduate, post graduate and M.Phil/Ph.D. programmes through twenty-one University divisions affiliated Arts and Science Colleges.
