Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, a deemed university in the state of Madhya Pradesh, is located in the city of Gwalior. It acquired the status of a Deemed University in 1995. The Institute is the only one with the status of Deemed University in the area of Physical Education throughout the nation. It upgrades the status of physical education of its students by providing degree and post-graduate course. Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education will conduct entrance exams in 2011 for following programmes, details are given below:-
Courses and Eligibility:
Post Graduate Diploma in Sport Management (1 year)
Eligibility: BPE diploma in physical education or graduation in any discipline with proven expertise and participation in spots activities at inter state or inter varsity level.
Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Journalism – 1 year
Eligibility: BPE or graduation in any discipline with45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC,ST).
P.G. Diploma in Sports Coaching (One Academic Session)
Eligibility BPE, diploma in physical education or graduation in any discipline with proven expertise and participation in sports activities at inter state or inter varsity level.
Advanced Certificate Course in Sport Coaching (6 Month Duration)
Eligibility: Pass in class 12 with national or international level participation in junior and senior level.
M.Phil Physical Education
Eligibility: The candidate should have obtained MPE (Master of Physical Education of two years duration) or any other equivalent degree from a recognized University. The candidates seeking admission should have secured minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates)
How to apply
The candidate may download application form from the official website of the Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education. The candidate can sent application form along with passport size photograph affixed on the right hand corner of the application and attested copies certificate and a demand draft in favour of the Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education.
Selection procedure:
Selection of the candidate will be based on the written test followed by personal interview. The selection will be also based on the rules and regulation of the Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education.
