Kumaun University, based in 1973 and situated in the region of India, has two straggling campuses ( DSB Campus, NainiTal and Almora Campus, Almora ) and 27 associated colleges spread over the whole Kumaun region, that are fast lending a lot of lovely anatomical structure to add to the panoramic and scenic beauty of the environment. One more Campus is being developed at Bhimtal to cater the needs of professional person, technical and vocational education.

Facilities
Kumaun University has its own campus over a sprawling 150 acres of land. The University provides residential facilities to all the deserving candidates. Transportation services are also provided by the Institute to commute students from plain lands up to the University campus.
