The Karnataka State Open University, Mysore a pioneer in the field of distance education in India. The Karnataka State Open University came into constituting in 1996 by an act proclaimed by the Karnataka State Assembly, cognized as the Karnataka State Open University Act. It is the 8th Open University of India. This university has its jurisdiction over whole of Karnataka and functions through its wide network of study centers in various cities. KSOU developed from the Institute of Correspondence Course and Continuing Education of the Mysore University. KSOU currently has intensity of about 40,000 students.It has 13 sections handled by 57 faculty members.

Eligibility
The candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree (10+2+3) from a recognized University in any discipline with at least 50% Marks in aggregate.
Selection Process
The candidate Selection is based on Common Admission Test (CAT) followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) held at KSOU.

Candidate who wants to apply has to carry filled registration form, support documents & D/D to the Test center for Registration & appointment. The test fees are to be paid by Demand draft/ banker’s cheque drawn in favour of Karnataka State Open University.
