Introduction
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University, Bhubaneswar, was inception in 1997. On account of its outstanding performance in education and training, it has entered the Limca Book of Records as the youngest University in the country. It is authorized by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, and has acquired university status acknowledged by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Educational Streams
The academic programs at KIIT are approved by statutory bodies of the Government of India such as All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI) and Bar Council of India (BCI) as applicable. B Tech / M Tech / Research program in Technology/Biotechnology/, BCA / MCA / BBA / MBA, and education is also offered in Rural Management and Law. Admissions are made through entrance examinations only. Several of its programs have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) of the University Grant Commission (UGC). Appreciating the need of present time, KITT has started education in Mass Communication, Design, Film Studies and Sculpture.
