Kerala Agricultural University Bioinformatics courses

The Bioinformatics Centre at Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), Thrissur was established in 1995 as the 23rd administered Information Sub Centre (DISC) under the Biotechnology Information System Network (BTIS Net) programme, of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The Bioinformatics Centre conducts training programmes in Bioinformatics for scientists working in the University and procures databases in the area of Agriculture and related fields. Bioinformatics is a new emergent field that facilitates in collecting, linking, and manipulating different types of biological information to discover new biological insights. The Bioinformatics Centre (DIC) at Kerala Agricultural University is preparing training programmes on Bioinformatics to Scientists, Lecturers, and Research Scholars working in the field of Biosciences.
