KARNATAKA UNIVERSITY It is proud privilege for the people of Dharwad that they have a university. In 1949 the Karnataka University was based and the brilliant building was built in 1958.Due to the fervent efforts of Dr D.C. Pavate who was the third Vice Chancellor of Karnataka University most of the departments were established. The University campus is spread in the northwestern part of Dharwad University has a very rich collection of books and the library building is standing in a little remote and in sylvan surrounding of the University campus.
