JNU CBEE 2011 Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will take a Combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam in 2011 (CBEE) on the behalf of participating universities, for admission in M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Agri) / M.V.Sc (Biotechnology) & M.Tech (Biotechnology) programs. The entrance exam for this will be taken at 52 centers across the nation.

For M.Sc Agri. / M.V.Sc (Biotechnology) M.Sc (Biotechnology):
Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Horticulture, Forestry, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology or B.Tech (Biotech)/B.Tech (Horticulture) with atleast 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
For M.Tech (Biotechnology):
B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical Engineering/Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Leather Technology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, B. Pharma, Chemical Technology, OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics and will have to earn at least 60% in aggregate in the qualifying entrance exam.

The application form for CBEE 2011 can be got from the internet from the official website or from the Jwaharlal Nehru University New Delhi – 110067. After filling up the form with all the essential data, candidates need to send in back to the office before the last date along with the sum of money in the form of DD.

Selection process for JNU CBEE 2011
Candidates will be shortlisted on the base of their CBEE-2011 marks. The shortlisted candidates will be called for further selection procedure dwelling of a Personal Interview & Group Discussion after which the final selections are made.

Date of CBEE: mid or the third week of the month of May, 2011.
Last Date for issue of application forms: first week of March, 2011
Last Date for submission of application forms: mid of the month of March, 2011.
