Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research Bangalore
Introduction
The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is a relatively young but already well-known multidisciplinary research institute. It is settled in Jakkur, Bangalore, India. It was founded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, to mark the birth centenary of Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru. It offers Ph.D. programmes in several disciplines, as well as an Integrated Ph.D. programme in Materials Science.
Researchers at the Centre are divided into six units:
Chemistry and Physics of Materials,
Engineering Mechanics,
Evolutionary and Organism Biology,
Molecular Biology and Genetics,
Theoretical Sciences,
Educational Technology and Geodynamics.
Eligibility:
Science: Students presently studying I, II and III year of B.Sc., B.V.Sc., MBBS, B.Pharm and I & II year of M.Sc., Course.
Engineering: II and III year of B.E. and B.Tech.
