ISMU Admissions 2011 Indian School of Mines University
Indian School of Mines (ISM) was founded by the Government of India in 1926 on the pattern of Royal School of Mines, London to teach Mining Engineering and Applied Geology and thus supply work force to the Indian minerals industry and the referred departments of the Government. ISM had been taking students to the B.Tech and M.Sc Tech programmes by an Entrance Examination on All-India basis, since its inception. Since 1997, ISMU has been with the IIT JEE system and has been admitting students to B Tech programmes by the JEE 2011 which will be took by IITs.
B TECH & Integrated courses
ISM offers admission to the B.Tech.(4-Year), M.Tech. Dual Degree (5-Year) and Integrated M.Sc./M.Sc. Tech ( 5-Year) programmes through IIT JEE examination.
Eligibility
The minimum qualification is 10+2 with science mathematics or equivalent from a recognized board. Students appearing / appeared in 2011 can also apply.
How to Apply
Wishful candidates may download the application form from the website: http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in. thenceforth, the duly filled downloaded application form along with a DD of drawn in favor of Registrar, ISM University and payable at Dhanbad should be send to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad.
Candidate may also get the application form by post by sending a request letter for the application form with a DD drawn in favour of Registrar, ISM University and payable at Dhanbad and should be addressed to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad.
Selection Procedure: The candidate will be selected on the basis of written test on followed by interview. All desirable candidates will be called for a written examination which will be both Objective and Descriptive in nature.
Admission Card
Admission Card for JEE 2011 shall be sent to the candidate at his/her address as referred in RPET- 2011 Application Form. The Coordinator JEE 2011 appropriate the right to withdraw the permission allowed by mistake to a candidate who is not eligible to come out at the JEE 2011 even though the Admission Card has been emerged and developed by the candidate before the Centre Superintendent of JEE 2011.

is there a separate exam for ism,dhanbad exept the iit-jee 2011?
