Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority is regulatory and development authority under Government of India in arrange to defend the interests of the customers and to govern, encourage and ensure orderly development of the insurance industry. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority is a subject agency of the agencies of India, based in Hyderabad. It is essentially a ten members’ team comprising of a Chairman, five full time members and four part-time members, all appointed by authorities of India. This administration came into being in 1999 after the bill of Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority was authorized in the Indian fantan.
