Introduction
The National Institute of Science and Technology was founded in 1996 and is being handled by the SM Charitable Educational Trust with the objective to “produce engineering skills capability of dominating the world-wide challenges of tomorrow’s technology”. The Institute is sanctioned by AICTE under ministry of HRD of Govt of India and is associated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT).
The Institute operates clubs on Robotics, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Bioinformatics, Literary, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Programming, Music, etc. The Institute has connected up with companies like, Infosys, Wipro, Mphasis, TCS, etc., for Projects, Technical and Soft-skills Certification courses etc., by corporate-campus connect programmes.
