Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB) a premier Institute of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India, offers excellent infrastructure support, start-up research funding along with a vibrant environment to perform research in interdisciplinary areas. IGIB is all set to become one of the leading centers of biological research. IGIB has appointed the eligible candidates in 2010 for the following posts, in 2011 the IGIB may open the similar vacancies, and related details are given below:-
Post No. 1 Scientist-EI Group IV (3)
Pay-Scale: Rs15600-39100 (PB-3) with Grade Pay of Rs7600/- (Total monthly emoluments will be Rs.50,400/- approx.)
Age limit: 40 years
Essential Qualifications: PhD with 4 (Four) years of postdoctoral experience OR MD with 5(Five) years relevant experience
Post No. 2. Scientist-C Group IV (2)
Pay-Scale: Rs15600-39100 (PB-3) with Grade Pay of Rs.6600/- (Total monthly emoluments will Rs.44,000/- approx.)
Age limit: 35 years
Essential Qualifications: PhD with 1 (One) year postdoctoral experience or MD with 2 (two) years relevant experience.
Project Assistant (Level – II) :
First Class MSc in Human Genetics/Human Biology/ Genomics/Biomedical Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Bioinformatics.
Age: 28 years
Project Assistant (Level – III)
First Class MSc in Human Genetics/Human Biology/ Genomics/Biomedical Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences with two years of relevant experience. Or M.Tech. Biotechnology or Biomedical Sciences.
Age:30 years
Project Assistant (Level – II)
First class M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry.
Age: 28 years
Project Assistant (Level – III)
First class M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry with two years of relevant experience.
Age:30 years
“Functional genomics of misfolding-induced stress response” (Project Code: GAP0059)
Project Associate (Level – I)
PhD with a first class M.Sc. in any branches of Life science.
Age: 35 years

Fresh Ph.D in Life Science with experience Molecular Biology/ Epigenetic studies (methylation)/Genetics. Or Fresh MBBS.
Age: 35 years
Associate (Level – II)
Ph.D in Life Science with experience Molecular Biology/ Epigenetic studies (methylation)/Genetics Two year of relevant experience.
Age: 37 years
