Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar is an autonomous Physics explore institute that focuses on research in various aspects of plasma science including basic plasma physics, explore on magnetically confined hot plasmas and plasma technologies for industrial applications. Currently, Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar is an internationally founded Institute that have made significant contributions to central and employed research in plasma physics and associated technologies. IPR Gandhinagar has a scientific and engineering manpower of 200 with competency in areas like theoretic plasma physics, computer modeling, superconducting magnets and cryogeny, ultra high vacuum, pulsed power, microwave and RF, computer-based control and data acquisition and industrial, environmental and strategic plasma applications.
